Our shop is on East Harmony Road. This is where we started in 2012, and it is still where every door we refinish gets sprayed. Fort Collins is not a service area for us. It is home.
Fort Collins housing runs the full range, and each part of it brings a different cabinet problem.
Old Town and the near-campus neighborhoods have kitchens that have been painted over more than once, often on cabinets worth saving underneath. South of Harmony, the late-90s and early-2000s builds tend to have honey oak or maple with heavy grain, solid boxes, and doors that just look dated. Newer builds out toward Timnath usually have sound builder-grade cabinetry that the owner never chose.
All three are refinishing jobs, not replacement jobs. The boxes are fine. It is the finish that has aged out.
Where we work in and around Fort Collins
Most cabinet companies serving Fort Collins are not actually in Fort Collins. They drive in, work out of a truck, and drive back.
We have been on East Harmony Road since 2012. Our spray booth, our finishers, and our crews all start their day here, in the same town as your kitchen. That changes a few practical things.
Same day or the next business day for most Fort Collins consultations.
They come to Harmony Road, get finished in our spray booth, and come back. Less handling, fewer chances for damage.
If something needs attention in year six, you are calling a shop in your own town, not a call center.
No spray tents in the driveway, no trailer parked out front for a week.
Every door is sprayed at our Harmony Road facility, not in your driveway. That is what gives you a smooth, factory-grade finish instead of brush and roller marks.
Cabinet resurfacing updates the color and finish of your existing cabinets while keeping their current style.
Using premium contractor-grade products and proven techniques, we restore and refresh your cabinetry for a durable, long-lasting finish.
This process also includes repairing minor damage caused by years of use, giving your cabinets a renewed look without the high cost of replacement.
Cabinet refacing replaces your cabinet doors and drawer fronts with new, custom-made designs while maintaining your existing cabinet boxes.
This allows you to completely transform the look and feel of your kitchen, without changing the footprint.
With contractor-grade materials and a factory-quality finish, refacing gives you the beauty of brand-new cabinetry at a fraction of the cost of a full remodel.
A typical Fort Collins kitchen runs around $9,000. A painter will quote closer to $4,500, and a full cabinet replacement around $35,000.
The gap between the painter and us shows up later. A painted finish lasts four to five years and needs three repaint cycles over fifteen years, putting you around $13,500. Ours is warrantied for ten years and lasts fifteen or more, so it stays at $9,000.
Your kitchen may come in above or below
Fifteen years, one finish
$4,500 up front, three repaints over fifteen years
Two to three months without a kitchen

My interior designer connected me with Summit Cabinets and I could not be more pleased with the entire process. Alex did a phenomenal job with all the prep work and finished painting ahead of schedule. Max came in and made sure the finished product was exactly what we were wanting. I would hands down recommend refinishing and painting with Summit, not only is it an investment at a fraction of the cost of full remodeling but it was such a quick process and everyone was so professional and respectful!

Summit Cabinet Coatings did an amazing job resurfacing my kitchen cabinets. From the estimate through to the end of the project, the communication and attention to detail was immaculate. I knew exactly what was going to happen, when, and did not even have a chance to be confused about anything because of how proactive the team is about providing educational materials and project details and timelines. The price seems very fair to me for how thorough and high quality the process is.

I am so pleased with the two cabinets that Summit Cabinet Coatings did last week. They look brand new! Jared, Jake and Max came to my home and each one did a splendid job! I was so impressed with their expertise and they were all very professional and a delight to work with. The office staff are also so kind and helpful.

Such a positive experience with Summit Coatings! I highly recommend working with them. They have a well organized team from sales to project completion. The quality of work is excellent and there are lots of color choices to choose from. Workmanship is warranted for 10 years, which gave me the confidence to choose them over a painting company.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the work that Summit did on our cabinets! It looks like a brand new kitchen for less than half the cost of replacing our cabinets. We had such a great experience from start to finish, we highly recommend them.

Summit Cabinet Coatings took on a very hard project removing paint and a distressed look on cabinets with large hickory knots. The team did a great job on a messy project, looking out to not damage my new hardwood floor, and manage my concerns. Highly recommend.

From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences we have had with a home project. The entire team was kind, professional, and so attentive to detail. Our kitchen now looks completely brand new, we honestly cannot believe the transformation! They went above and beyond, especially with the top of the cabinets, and the final result looks like it was always part of the original build.

A job well done! The finish is beautiful. The staff prepared me well for what to expect during the week that they worked. Jim the co-owner supervised the project and handled the finishing touches. Great attention to detail. Jen, the other co-owner, comes to the house to help with colors and other decisions and gives the final price which we felt was very fair.

Summit Cabinet Coatings is excellent at what they do, and we love the end result of our refacing project. They take care in their work, and were great at communicating with us, making sure we knew all of the steps in the project, that we understood the schedule, and that we had what we needed in making any design decisions.
